Farm Forestry Advice

Forestry Notes

Establishing a farm forestry plantation can be a daunting task, with selecting the right species to plant, the number of trees you require, and what site preparation to use.

Gippsland Private Forestry is here to help you with advice on all aspects of  farm forestry.

With private forestry officers in Traralgon and Bairnsdale, their combined 30 years experience in the forest industry will help you along your way.

Best of all, the advice is free, funded through the Australian Governments National Heritage Trust.

Forestry Associations

Gippsland Agroforestry Network (GAN) is branch of the Australian Forest Growers.  GAN runs a number of field days each year, so potential tree growers can see first hand what other treegrowers have done in the region.  There is a regular newsletter and great networks to help you learn more about farm forestry.
