Gippsland Private Forestry Inc. (GPF) is a not-for-profit industry development
organisation that promotes sustainable, commercial private forestry development
in Gippsland.
GPF’s objectives are to:

support
the expansion of the commercial plantation estate;

encourage sustainable management of private native forest resources;
-
aid
regional forest products industry development;
-
advocate a favourable policy environment on behalf of the private forestry
sector; and
-
assist
engagement between the Gippsland community and the private forest industry.

GPF’s
membership draws together private forestry stakeholders in Gippsland with an
interest in maximising the regional benefits from the private forestry sector.
GPF
receives Australian and Victorian Government funding as a Private Forestry
Development Committee to support the implementation of National and State
Strategies for the private forestry sector. Whilst
funding permits, GPF provides a free farm forestry extension service to existing
and prospective tree growing ladholders in West and East Gippsland. |

Board of Gippsland Private Forestry Inc. represents stakeholders in private
forestry in the region.

current GPF Board represents the following organisations and interests:

HVP Plantations, Greening Australia, Landcare, Latrobe Valley Power

Plantations, West Gippsland CMA, Greenfleet Australia
and Industry specialists.
GPF
will work with industry and grower organisations to:

develop and secure market opportunities for existing and new private forestry
ventures

encourage greater regional investment in private forestry,

provide greater confidence to forest growers in the region.
